Hi, I’m Kelly Elliston, RP (Qualifying).
I work with adults and older adults who are navigating life transitions, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma, and self-esteem challenges. My goal is to offer a grounded, compassionate space where you can feel truly heard, supported, and gently encouraged to reconnect with your own strength and insight.
My approach is multimodal, meaning I draw on a range of therapeutic tools and frameworks, depending on your needs. At its heart, my work is person-centered—I believe therapy works best when it’s rooted in real human connection, not clinical distance.
I’m not your “typical” therapist—I’m a bit quirky, warm, and down-to-earth. I bring humor, curiosity, and authenticity into the therapy room, because I believe healing doesn’t have to be heavy all the time. Sometimes a good laugh or an unexpected question can open new doors.
Before becoming a therapist, I worked and volunteered in a variety of unique settings: with at-risk youth in inner-city schools, supporting families in NICU and pediatric respite rooms, and learning in Sri Lanka, where I was exposed to more Eastern approaches to healing—including Ayurvedic principles, Buddhist teachings, and psychiatric collaboration. I’ve also worked in long-term care, which deepened my appreciation for the emotional experiences of aging, caregiving, and resilience.
These experiences shape how I show up: present, open, and always curious about the uniqueness of your story.
I’m a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), currently completing the final stage of my clinical training. I welcome clients from all walks of life and would be honored to walk alongside you on your journey.
